Welcome to SkillED Innovation
Founded by two professionals who have extensive experience in vocational sectors and further education, SkillED Innovation was built on a simple belief: every young person deserves the chance to succeed—no matter where they’re starting from.
We know that not every student fits the mould of traditional school. That’s why we offer a different approach—one that’s practical, hands-on, and rooted in the real world. Our programmes are designed to re-ignite motivation, rebuild confidence, and help students connect their school studies to genuine opportunities in college, apprenticeships, and work.
We work closely with schools, local employers, and you—as parents—to make sure your child is supported every step of the way. Because when young people feel seen, valued, and capable, they achieve more than anyone thought possible.
Let’s build their future—together.
How we work…
What Your Child Will Learn at SkillED Innovation
We don’t just teach skills—we build futures. Each part of our programme is carefully designed to help your child grow in confidence, develop real-world abilities, and feel excited about what comes next.
Here’s what they’ll experience:
Vocational Skill-Building
From tools, job roles and trades to safety and standards, your child will learn practical skills that are typical in a vocational job from hair dressing to bricklaying—skills that are respected by employers and colleges alike. It’s about doing, not just listening.
They’ll gain:
Hands-on experience with tools, models and techniques to help them in vocational sectors (see our diagram below that explains what these are)
A better understanding of how the world of work really operates and how they fit in that world
A sense of pride in what they can make, fix, and achieve
Employability & Professional Skills
We help young people understand what employers look for—and how to show up with confidence. Whether it’s turning up on time, working in a team, or speaking professionally, these are life-long skills they can use anywhere.
They’ll develop:
Strong communication and teamwork
A professional mindset and attitude
Interview confidence and CV basics
Maths & English with Real-World Relevance
We don’t teach these subjects for the sake of it—we make them meaningful. Your child will learn how English and maths apply directly to the careers they’re interested in, making it easier to re-engage and succeed with their GCSEs.
They’ll explore:
How maths is used sectors like hospitality, construction or the hair and beauty sector.
How communication matters in the workplace
A fresh understanding of why these subjects matter for their future
Confidence, Communication & Mindset
We know that success starts on the inside. That’s why we focus on helping your child build confidence, emotional resilience, and a positive mindset. They’ll learn how to handle setbacks, speak up, and believe in themselves.
They’ll grow in:
Self-esteem and motivation
Emotional wellbeing and resilience
Positive thinking and goal-setting
Future Pathways & Career Awareness
Your child will explore what comes after school—college, apprenticeships, or going straight into work—and learn how to take the steps to get there. No pressure, just honest, supportive guidance.
They’ll gain:
Awareness of different career paths and industries
Help choosing the next steps that suit them best
A personal sense of direction and purpose
What your child will achieve.
